After the painful death of 11 people, including 10 of a family, in a collision between a Bolero and a truck in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, mourning spread in the village. As soon as the ambulance reached the village with the dead bodies, the whole atmosphere became inconsolable. The last rites were performed by keeping 11 dead bodies in five pyres. In this accident, the family including Dharamraj Sahu died in a jiffy. There were five women including two children in it.
After the postmortem on Thursday, 11 dead bodies were brought to the village in 7 ambulances. A large number of villagers gathered to pay their last respects to the dead. The whole village flocked towards the cremation ground with moist eyes. Dharamraj had three sons. One of these sons lives in Gariaband, while the other was in the village at the time of the accident.
After this road accident, only his two sons and old mother are left in the family. Dharamraj (55), wife Usha (52), son Keshav (34), brother’s wife Lakshmi (45), daughter-in-law Tomin (33), Sandhya (24), Rama (20), nephew Shailendra (22), Yogansh (3) , one and a half year old Ishaan and driver Domesh Dhruv (19) have died.
11 dead bodies were burnt in 5 pyres
In Muktidham, the funeral pyre was decorated according to the family members. The first funeral pyre was of driver Damesh Dhruv. In the second, the dead bodies of the head of the house, Dharamraj and his wife Usha, in the third, that of Lakshmi, Shailendra and Rama, in the fourth, that of Sandhya, Yogash, Ishant, in the fifth that of Keshav and his wife Tomin. In this way, keeping 11 dead bodies in five pyres, they were lit.
