This woman's voice and delivery is so annoying I barely got through the video. Why is she talking like this? This isn't the news. This isn't customer service. Just stop.
My parents against my wishes bought my daughter a tablet for her 5th birthday yesterday. A cheap and relatively rubbish one. I did not want her having a tablet and had explained my reasoning. What do i do? Take it away from my daughter the day after her birthday? I specifically said she may have a computer, not a tablet. They have helped to purchase said computer. But the tablet is an explicit undermining of my authority. I am mad at them but don't want to react in anger. At a loss of how to proceed from here regarding this darn tablet. They tell her cousin off for being addicted to a screen. But they bought that child his first tablet too. So frustrating. Said nephew (my daughters cousin) sees the hypocricy too. So maddening. I need to fix this somehow just not sure how …. this was a war I did not want. Hmph. I just gotta remember that in the end God uses all for good for those who love Him … grrr…. i hand the frustration to God! And have faith a way out will show itself.
Are there any ways to minimize the effects narcissistic grandparents have on an older child (young adult)? I was naive and unaware that they were undermining my relationship with my son until the youth pastors at the church let me know but by then it was too late to go no contact. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏
