An award-winning pizza to benefit the Neapolitan children’s charity La Scugnizzeria
This spring, Campania-born pizzaiolo Franco Pepe brought his signature margherita sbagliata (£16 throughout May) to Fatto a Mano’s restaurants in London and Brighton.
The “wrong margherita,” three times named the best pizza in the world, is topped with buffalo mozzarella and fior di latte, baked for 90 seconds, then spread with passata and topped with basil oil. For every pizza sold, Fatto a Mano will donate £1.50 to La Scugnizzeria, which offers theatre, photography and pizza-making workshops to children in the Naples suburb of Scampia. Wildlife photographers unite for Jane Goodall Institute
Vital Impacts, a nonprofit conservation organization, celebrates Jane Goodall’s 90th birthday with an environmental sale. Photography; 60 percent of the profits will go to his institute, which runs chimpanzee conservation programs in Africa.
Artworks include Michaela Skovranova’s image of a young humpback whale (from £1,050) and Lisa Michele Burns’s ethereal lilac mountain landscape (from £81). Goodall has also contributed signed portraits of her and her beloved “F” chimpanzee family (from £2025). Until July 2nd, vitalimpacts.org
Artists, designers and jewelers raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is celebrating 200 years with a range of luxury homewares, accessories and spirits. Among the highlights are bags with a colorful nautical pattern from designer Emma Mawston, Alex Monroe’s gold-plated coastal scene necklace (£225) and three commemorative watches (from £3,195) from Bremont. Supper clubs to fight food insecurity
Fortnum & Mason has been working with food charity The Felix Project since its creation in 2016. For its latest collaboration, Sam White, executive chef of the store’s sustainable restaurant Fieldwill create a three-course menu using products preserved by the charity.
Every ticket sold (£100) will enable The Felix Project to rescue and redistribute food for almost 300 meals; Skye Gyngell will take on the same challenge at a Michelin star hotel Spring in July. A Tuscan vineyard raises funds for the blind and low vision community
Twenty bottles from Tuscan vineyards of different sizes. OrnellaiaThe 2021 vintage, a Bolgheri Superiore Rosso, has been adorned with collage-print labels by Italian artist Marinella Senatore for an online auction at Sotheby’s. Highlights include an imperial duo from the 2021 and 2006 vintages, and a nine-liter salmanazar enclosed in a luminous sculpture made of cold neon to keep it at its optimal temperature.
All proceeds support Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation‘s Mind’s Eye, which improves access to the arts for the blind and low vision community. 22 May to June 5, sothebys.com
An auction of famous Ferrari license plates to combat digital poverty
In addition to the sales, shows and food trucks at Northampton’s Supercar Fest, an annual celebration of classic and iconic sports cars, all proceeds from the auction of some of Ferrari’s most famous license plates will go to ben, a charity fighting digital poverty among families in the automotive industry. Participants can bid online or in person, with featured lots including the V8 SCU plate from the award-winning 430 Scuderia, as well as the plate that appeared on the 70th anniversary LaFerrari Aperta.
