A Trader Joe’s cashier has gone viral for an unexpected act

Now, in a tearful video that has garnered more than 57,800 views, a Trader Joe’s employee is being praised by a shopper for an unexpected act of kindness that turned his day around.

TikToker Danielle Blakey tearfully tells viewers that she will only shop at Trader Joe’s grocery stores from now on, explaining how she went to the store to pick up some groceries at night after a “really few days,” but she didn’t. Explain what was going on.

“I’m usually good at hiding my emotions,” she explains to viewers. “Clearly I wasn’t tonight.”

Blakey then says that her cashier knew something was wrong when she went to pay for her groceries.

“I felt bad because he kept trying to communicate and I was very unresponsive and preferred not to talk much,” she said. “I put my credit card in the pay and he was like, ‘Hold on, come right back.'”

Blakey then shows off a bouquet of flowers that the cashier brought her, saying that she was “sobbing” inside the store and overcome with emotion.

“Shop at Trader Joe’s because I literally love everyone who works there,” she said. “You never know what a small act of kindness will do for someone.”

Social media users flooded the post with positive comments and their own stories of memorable interactions with the grocery chain’s employees.

“That’s so sweet, and I hope your days start to get brighter,” said one.

“My son works at TJ’s, and he thinks he’s doing a good job when he makes a guest feel like showing up,” said another. “As his mother, I couldn’t be more proud.”

Blakey said the incident took place at the Greenville Street location in Dallas, Texas.

Earlier this month, another TikTok The showcase went viral Trader Joe’s employees are paying when the refrigeration system inside a Baton Rouge, Louisiana store stops working. Instead of checking out perishable items, employees gave out more than $2,000 in free food to shoppers in the store.

Trader Joe’s is a California-based grocery chain that operates approximately 560 locations in the United States.
