The X409-WRA-JK 9-Inch Weather-Resistant Navigation System with Off-Road Mode is a mech-less (no CD/DVD) in-dash audio/video/navigation (AVN) system that is Alpine engineered for the 2018 – Up Jeep Wrangler and 2019 – Up Jeep Gladiator and is a direct-fit for all models including the Jeep Wrangler Sport, Sport S, Sport Altitude, Sahara, Sahara Altitude, and Rubicon and Jeep Gladiator Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon. The X409-WRA-JL has a weather-resistant touchscreen and bezel rated IP53 for protection against dust with limited ingress and freshwater spray up to 60-degrees vertical. The high-visibility screen has been engineered to adjust to low or high sunlight for maximum clarity when driving. The screen is housed inside a stunning, rugged dash bezel with integrated control keys and takes style cues from the Jeep Wrangler that results in a matching factory fit and finish. Activate the built-in Off-Road Mode when taking your Jeep off the beaten path. The off-road centric user interface displays vehicle data (tilt angle, tire pressure, battery voltage, GPS coordinates), tracking of trail distance/time, and compass readings. The navigation database includes Points of Interest (POIs) for vehicular recreational areas, FunTreks trailheads, and U. S. campsites. Revisit trails through Off-Road Mode trip recording. The X409-WRA-JL has a large, 9-inch WVGA High-Visibility Display with Capacitive Touch Screen and Swipe Graphical User Interface that is optimized for in-vehicle smartphone use so drivers can access Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through the touchscreen or “Microphone” button. Apple CarPlay is compatible with iPhone 5 and later (iPhone must be connected via Apple lightning cable). Android Auto requires both a USB cable and Bluetooth connection, an Android phone running 5. 0 (Lollipop) or higher, and the Android Auto app. Use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to make and receive calls, access text messages, play music and get directions in a way that allows the driver to stay focused on the road. Use third-party driving maps like Google Maps and Waze or in areas with poor cellular service, use the built-in navigation for Turn-by-Turn voice-guided driving directions, with Pinch-to-Zoom mapping for a detailed view of your map. Includes built-in HERE Maps of the entire United States (including Alaska & Hawaii), Canada, and Puerto Rico with the Latest Map . The X409-WRA-JL retains the factory backup camera, with rear guideline display clearly projected on the large, 9-inch touchscreen. Three additional camera inputs are included for the front, right, and left side of the vehicle. The Off-Road Mode camera interface delivers three viewing modes (Ground, Tire, Panorama) to help view uneven terrain during rock crawls or trailing. For easy access when you’re backing up, a dedicated rear camera button is located on the trim bezel. This is ideal for rock crawling or driving through narrow paths on trail rides. The X409-WRA-JL includes an iDataLink Maestro Module to retain features like voice-activated media player, Bluetooth technology, and steering wheel controls. Selectable vehicle information can be displayed on the large, 9-inch screen so drivers can monitor tire pressure, battery voltage, door status, engine codes, and user-customizable gauges. The X409-WRA-JL can display up to eight accessories directly from the touchscreen by adding the optional KAC-001 External Accessory Controller (sold separately). Assign graphical icons to the accessories for quick identification and control them through a pulsed, latched, or momentary output. Audio entertainment sources include a built-in HD Radio Tuner, Pandora via a smartphone, iPod/iPhone music, various music file formats including FLAC/MP3/WMA/AAC/HE-AAC playback via USB and SiriusXM compatibility (tuner and subscription required). For even more entertainment options, a “Media” center that matches the factory look is added to the lower, right-hand side of the dash with one HDMI input, dual USB for smartphone access (one device at a time) or charging, and an Aux input.
