As someone who spent a massive amount of their childhood in and out of hospitals with a rare disease, im so torn over this subject. On one hand, i understand the privacy of the child and whatnot. But on the other hand, i saw the destruction it was doing to my moms mental health not being able to figure out what to do herself and having to rely on someone else to "fix her kid" and the getting to talk to other people about it all was definitely the only time i saw her talk about everything without fully being upset because she was able to get her frustrations out
I post my daughter’s pics only if her face isn’t visible. Of course, she’s always fully dressed and I’m never posting anything what she can possibly be ashamed of. It hurts to see such privacy violations. Are those influencers so boring persons that they can’t attract any attention by themselves?

Social media is a way to feed those who have Münchausen syndrome by proxy’s desire for attention and this is terrifyingly dangerous. Prayers for all of the children being used to feed their parent’s desire for attention.
As of 9/2024, one of the mom's mentioned thanked someone for helping her get the diagnosis for her boy and then has taken all videos of her kids offline because of the Wren situation.
This is also “anything for views” bc some of these things are making a big deal out of nothing…. Like who cares if she uses a generic image of a skull! And I didn’t think the dancing mom was really evil… I think she was just dealing in her own way

Recording your child describing sex for the internet is creepy and absolute fodder for pedophiles, beyond it being traumatic. Such a difficult conversation that doesn’t need a camera or audience, and could easily mess a kids comfort level with sex for life.
I feel like writing your daughter a sweet letter and doing a prom style walk down the stairs to make her feel special are actually such cute ideas… if they just weren't for the entire internet to see …😅
These parents really went. Oh my kid needs to use the potty, let me film my kid popping and posting it online for strangers to share. I’m so bewildered!!

Do these people not have friends irl? Why the need to go on the internet to talk about their child's medical history etc? I mean… I can't….
This reminds me of a story I heard on Mr ballens channel.
Apparently he read of a story on Reddit, where a little girl was walking home from the store and a man who claimed to be a pediatrician started talking to her. She wouldn’t really talk to him much, went home, didn’t say anything to her parents. Then he kept seeing her and talking to her on other days. She eventually told her mom, her mom brushed it off.
Long story short, over time he began obsessively calling the house, asking to speak to her. Would drive by the home, would offer her things on her way home from school. Her parents got scared and tried to get police involved but it was the 70s, there was no way of knowing who he was or recording him. There were multiple incidents where the parents left the home and left the brothers to babysit, where the man tried to break into the home. He also towards the end began to threaten to kill the little girl.
If that was happening then, it’s not out of the realm of possibility it could happen now.
I started wondering about the medical aspect and about the narrative. Just hear me out.
How is this any different than an news outlet or documentary where people (and parents and kids) are interviewed for the story or the awereness? At least in this scenario the parents have whole control over the narrative and they share exact same medical information.
I mean your perspective is that the child should be the one to share if they want to (which I agree) but it conflicts the whole industry of media too.
