The map includes dozens of development sites, from relatively small ones, such as long-standing plans for new offices where the abandoned Grosvenor Hotel now stands, to major projects for thousands of homes in places like temple quarter, white house street and Bedminster Green.

Each of the sites is marked as being developed, has planning permission, or has potential for future development. Nearly every site on the map has been the subject of reports of bristol live as part of our ongoing coverage of the housing crisis and the huge plans for tens of thousands of new homes in and around downtown.

But there are several that have yet to be the subject of any announcements or releases of future plans or inquiries. bristol live understands that the parking lot was included as part of a strategic planning project by the council that is considering all parking lots in and around the city center as potential sites for development.
