BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (WBRC) – In 2024, REV Birmingham partnered with the PNC Foundation for the Birmingham Open for Business grant program.
The program awarded more than $809,000 to dozens of entrepreneurs in three different stages.
The open stage focused on companies in their early stages. The growth stage helped entrepreneurs expand into more established businesses. The open stage helped move into a physical space.
“It’s an opportunity for our local business to have access to capital resources that they might not have,” said Mary Walton, customer relations manager for REV.
The hope is to create and retain jobs in the Magic City and help establish small businesses.
“We want to make sure our businesses continue to grow and can sustain their operations here in Birmingham and we’re seeing that many of our businesses can do that,” Walton said.
