Drone is emerging as a new power of India. During the Corona period, the vaccine was delivered to many remote areas by drone. Now through this drone, blood can be easily transported from one place to another in case of emergency.
In a trial held on Wednesday, blood was sent via drone from Jims Hospital in Greater Noida to Jaypee Institute in Sector 62, Noida. This distance was about 35 kilometers. Similarly, blood was also sent from Lady Hardinge Hospital to Jaypee Institute. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya himself tweeted the video of blood being taken from the drone.

‘successful results’
The results of this trial were very impressive. Along with the drone, blood was also sent by ambulance up to a distance of 35 km. It took about a quarter of an hour for the blood to reach the same place by ambulance. At the same time, this distance from the drone was completed in just 10 to 15 minutes.
After the trial, it was also found that there was no change in blood by transporting blood through drone. Meaning it can be used easily. The vibration and temperature of the drone had no effect on the blood.
Plan for further organ transport
ICMR was working for a long time on the project of transporting blood through drones. Along with ICMR, this project also includes Lady Hardinge Hospital in Delhi and Jims Hospital in Greater Noida.
Dr. Brigadier Rakesh Gupta, director of GIMS, says that in the coming times, organ transport can also be done through drones. At present, a green corridor has to be prepared to move the organ from one place to another.
