I feel bad for the little boy
This is sooo bad! Many parents are competing with each other, taking their kids to so many lessons. It's a big thing in Cyprus as well, believe it or not. My girls extra activities are only one thing, football and ballet, which they choose to do. So much stress is clearly not productive. Parents, wake up! Creative, free play is so important for brain development and problem solving, socialisation etc…😮

Those children are going to be completely stressed out as adults can't we just let them be kids? That's so sad to see how much homework these kids get sometimes it's 3 4 hours of homework! And then all signed up for instrumental and sports it gets to the point of ridiculousness so now you have 8-year-old stressed like adults.. not good at all
I agree that children here in The States are involved in too many activities. Everyone needs down time to relax and play.

I agree. Parents need to let kids be kids. If kid shows interest in something pursue it but not to point kid has no free time. And set boundaries
Children must be allowed to be children. However many parents push them hardly and ruin their life, sometimes for ever.

And this is why i dont let my kids do "school stuff" during summer, except some reading and painting. Otherwise, its all fun. They're kids and need to enjoy being kids

My mom always made me do one; I could drop it at anytime and change it but the one kept me busy but still had to to play, work or do whatever else I want
yeah sadly that was the case for two of my nephews… it was really distrubing to see how my sister forced them for years to do all of these clubs and activities and then screamed at them because their home work was not done and shes feeding them pizza at 11:30 at night… and she defiantly said she doesnt believe in therapy…. and im like….. ummmmmmmmmmmm
If children are in school all day, why do they need homework? They should be able to go home and do what they want. Most adults don't bring their work home.

Teachers should be able to teach kids everything during the school day. Homework is lame.

I remember what that was like. Homework is completely counter productive and I had to waste 4 hours A-day doing it.
