Over the past year, 16-year-old Philip Loveday has followed in his grandmother’s footsteps, dating back to 1955, to take the same photograph of famous London landmarks that she took nearly 70 years ago.

Scilla, now 83, was just 16 when she was walking around London taking photos because she was bored and wanted to do something.

Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s five years ago, a disease that causes memory loss, and as a gift to herself and to try to help her grandmother’s memory, Philip, from Barnet, north London, has been recreating those very photos.
