Hundreds of new houses it will be built in Merseyside after plans were given the green light.

The new Redrow development, supported by Planning and development consultancy Lichfields, will be built in halewood. As part of the project, a mix of 318 one-bedroom apartments and two-, three- and four-bedroom family homes will be created.




The 25 acre site south of the railway bounded by Lower Road, Finch Lane and Baileys Lane. Between properties There will also be 131 affordable homes, comprising a mix of 57 one-bedroom apartments, 44 two-bedroom homes, and 30 three-bedroom homes.

General planning permission was approved in 2021 for ‘The Finches’ development of contemporary style properties centered around new community space to create a balance between town and country. Some residents have already begun to move into approved Redrow homes in the first phase of development.

Imogen Zulver, a senior planner at Lichfields’ Manchester office, who has secured reserved affairs approval from Knowsley Council, said new housing is urgently needed across the North West to help meet housing shortages.

She said: “We are working with property developers and local planning authorities to ensure that schemes such as this are viable and a welcome addition to local areas, helping to provide high-quality housing for local people.
