Car stolen during property theft in Newtownabbey

The PSNI is requesting information following the incident that occurred shortly before 10 pm in the Heather Park area.

Police received a report that a house had been broken into through a back door.

A man reportedly broke in and stole a number of items, including car keys, before driving off in a white Fiat 500 belonging to the home’s owner.

Since then the car has been in the Dunloy Gardens area of ​​Rathcoole.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The suspect was described as a man in his 30s, wearing a grey, white and navy jacket, navy blue trousers and wearing only one white shoe with a white sock on the other foot.

“We are appealing to anyone who has witnessed anything suspicious in the Newtownabbey area, or has any CCTV or dash cam video to call us on 101, quoting reference number 2188 dated 27/05/23.”
