Carnival cruise guests caught fishing on balcony, banned for life

The alleged fisherman and at least one guest have been banned for life after a viral TikTok showing a Carnival Cruise passenger fishing from a room balcony.

“Fishing from our vessels is prohibited,” said a Carnival representative Statement to Nexstar on Wednesday. “We have identified the guests and they will not be visiting the carnival again.”

The video shows a man fishing from a docked ship in Nassau, Bahamas. A small yellow fish with fishing line and a hook in its mouth is seen as the line is pulled up from the bottom.

The video has gone viral on social media and has been viewed by more than 20 lakh people. The original video was deleted.

According to Cruise Hive, fishing rods are allowed on ships, but fishing from boats is “absolutely not permitted” and dangerous to marine life and other passengers. Bahamian law requires non-residents Get a permit for fishing in their waters.
