Clock: What we learned from the first day of preseason tests in Bahrein

The first day of preseason tests before the 2025 season is now complete, with the 10 teams and 20 pilots who have reached the track for their initial career in the Bahrein International Circuit on Wednesday.

It was a day that provided many conversation points after Lando Norris de McLaren finished the afternoon session at the top of the time sheets, establishing a 0.157 turn faster than George Russell of Mercedes in second.

The current world champion Max Verstappen, meanwhile, was the third for Red Bull, while the new rookie lot also put behind the steering wheel while looking to win a crucial experience before debuting in Australia next month.
