NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) – Desthil Brewery in Normal hosted a small business market to highlight local vendors.
More than 20 businesses set up tables to sell their unique products, such as homemade popcorn, leather, clothing and books.
Danielle Salz and Laura Burke are co-owners of Serendipity Mercantile in Bloomington, they had a table set up to sell jewelry and home decor.
“You can come get gifts, you can come get something for your house or you can get something for your clothes. That event is approaching. On a summer trip, you know, going to the big box stores, you might not see as much variety and locally handmade products. So you keep the money here and support the people who are trying to contribute to the community,” Salz and Burke said.
Vendors came from all over central Illinois, including Bloomington, Normal, Farmington, Elmwood, Rushville and Springfield.
