I knew a teenager, when I was a teen, who lost the door option to his bedroom for a while. I can't remember what he did to precipitate its removal. He got it back in about a week, as I recall, but it still seemed a little drastic to me. I thought it was a bully move on his dad's part.
I took the doors off when they were toddlers because they thought it the funniest thing to slam the doors all day & block it from the inside & unknowingly set up their own death trap. Now that they are older & more mature they π― have my respect to their privacy & I too knock & wait for their reply before entering. Rarely is their door closed, so when it is I respect their boundaries as well. Respect & honor goes both ways. I cannot demand from them what I do not give to them.
No much worse than that when my parents weren't yelling at me they completely ignored me world of Warcraft seemed more important to my mother then mothering me
I once punched a hole in my wall because he kept telling me to stop locking my door in the day time cuz we can just knock which he never does so instead of breaking his nose I broke the wall. He knocked from then.
(Side note I never get this angry itβs Just this made me so angry for no reason)
Mine did but only because the door was old and had a massive crack that split it open at the bottom so I had blankets over the frame until we got a new one.
I lived in a duplex (1 bedroom upstairs & 1 downstairs) with my grandparents, parents, & 4 siblings. I didn't have a door for them to take off the hinges π
how old is kenzi? sheβs so mature β€
No, my mom would always slam the door when she sees the mess. My sister took the hinges off her daughters when her boyfriend came to hang out. π
Hard to have a door taken off the hinges when you never had a bedroom door until you moved out of your parents place π
Is nobody going to talk about the doll

Yeah my mom took my door off my hinges. Wonders why she doesnβt see her granddaughter a lot.
Yes but it wasn't my dad that took my door off the hinges it was my mom with her angry self π

Love youβre content!! β€

With all the education readily available, I canβt believe people still do what you did at first. π’
I really appreciate the respect you have for her thatβs awesomeβ€
Iβd say why would I knock youβre deaf I could do the lights
He has done that for years.
Least he could do is learn the light switches actual location
but its funny to see him do that and very sweet.

Imagine you dad checking up on you haha, couldnβt be me βοΈ
My dad ripped the door of the hinges
How can she hear him talking to her
I remember my mom's house had the whole "you don't pay bills around here" argument.
I was 10
Wait if sheβs deaf then how is she hearing you
Yes because I was having anxiety and I was quiet for a long time and then I got in trouble because my friends did something in my room
Paying bills ? Knocking is showing respect which is priceless
I got my door off the hinges in 8th grade πβ€οΈ
I am the youngest child of 3 and every single house we have moved into I have never had a door
This is so true and side at the same time
