Greenville area entrepreneurs have an upcoming opportunity to learn how to build a business from scratch.

The Butler County Commission for Economic Development (BCCED) and the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce (GACOC) partner in cooperation with the University of Alabama, University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network of Troy and the Butler County Extension Service. to host a free “Financing Your Small Business” seminar on June 27.

He will lead the seminar by local professionals and business advisors from the Alabama SBDC who are passionate about helping others bring their businesses to life.

Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tracy Salter said the chamber is excited to be a part of this program and give local entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn more about the basics of starting a business.

“We invite anyone interested in starting their own business to join us in learning the essential steps required to successfully finance a business,” Salter said.

The seminar will highlight topics such as: lending basics, local business loan options, Butler County Economic Development Commission Revolving Loan Fund, South Central Alabama Development Commission Revolving Loan Fund, program and Capital Access services from the Alabama Small Business Development Center, Small Business Administration (SBA) and USDA loan programs, Troy University SBDC program and services, and much more. The event will conclude with a question and answer session and a networking opportunity for attendees.

“The Chamber and BCCED recognize and appreciate the importance of a healthy small business community and the critical role they play in the success of economic development in Butler County,” said BCCED Director David Hutchison.
