Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) was chosen the 7th best business school in the world by the newspaper’s executive education ranking financial times. The institution is the only Brazilian in the top ten, having risen two positions in relation to last year’s ranking, when it was in ninth place. The São Paulo School of Business Administration of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV EAESP) also appears on the list, in 36th place.
The general ranking combines two other rankings: one that classifies the personalized programs of the institutions, which are adapted to the needs of companies, and another that classifies the open programs, to which anyone can apply. FDC ranked 11th in the ranking of custom programs and 7th in the ranking of open programs.
To rank institutions, the Financial Times considers criteria such as program format and preparation, new skills and learning, faculty, the level of interaction between clients and the school, teaching methods and course materials, among others.
HEC Paris, from France, ranks first in the overall list, which has a total of 50 institutions. Then come Iese Business School, from Spain (2nd), Insead, from France (3rd), Esade Business School, from Spain, (4th) and London Business School, from the United Kingdom (5th).
