The more we hear about how Ferrari jettisoned Sebastian Vettel, the more sadness I feel. To fire a four-time World Champion, and to then lie about your reasons, is simply shameful. Vettel worked with bad cars, and remained positive and professional, even while driving inferior cars. He made mistakes, but so did Ferrari, with constant leadership changes, and designs that didn’t allow any drivers to compete for titles. I adore Italy, and Italians, and have visited the country almost 200 times. However, I have no respect for the cowardly manner in which you simply discarded Vettel. You have treated a world-class driver badly, and your behavior makes the Ferrari brand look weak. You should have admitted your own failings, and you should have refused to make any changes until you could deal with the issues face-to-face. I hope Vettel has a superb season, and shows you how to face adversity with class.
