On Saturday, December 7, all long-term car parks at the town hall will be free from 12:00 to 18:00.
The goal is to support local businesses for the annual event, which encourages people to “shop local” and support small businesses in their areas.
In addition to long-stay car parks, Yarmouth’s Pier Square car park will be free all day.
Cllr Phil Jordan, council leader and cabinet member for transport and infrastructure, said: “We are very pleased to be offering this help to both businesses and shoppers in the run-up to Christmas so people can enjoy their visits. to our cities without additional parking costs.
“It has been very successful in the past and we encourage residents and visitors to take advantage of the offer once again this year.”
Small Business Saturday is a non-commercial grassroots campaign that highlights the success of small businesses. It allows people across the UK to support small businesses of all types, whether online, in offices or in stores.
Many small businesses participate by hosting events and offering discounts.
