Valtteri Bottas’ time on the F1 grid appears to be coming to an end, at least for the moment, following news of his imminent departure from Kick Sauber after the 2024 season.

Since his debut in 2013, the Finn has enjoyed a successful career in the sport in which he has achieved 10 victories, 67 podiums and 20 pole positions. But in addition to the statistics, Bottas has also racked up countless memorable moments both on and off the track that have made him an entertaining presence in the paddock.

Despite achieving all of those aforementioned victories in his five years with the Silver Arrows, there were also some difficult moments for Bottas, none more so than the 2018 season, in which he failed to achieve a victory and dropped to fifth place in the classification, in contrast to teammate Lewis Hamilton’s strong push towards another title.

While he considered leaving the sport after this campaign, Bottas opted to return as a revitalized driver in 2019. The Nastola man cut a determined figure in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix and quickly beat Hamilton to victory, which led him to gain fame. responding to his critics on the radio by saying: “To whom it may concern, screw them.”
