  1. It’s genuinely horrific how many comments think this is funny. That is a child. A toddler. I was treated like this at that age and I’m still facing the repercussions to this day. I truly don’t understand why so many people think it’s acceptable to put their hands on a child and treat them roughly. Ask yourself, would you treat your spouse like this? Your coworker? Your friend? No. You wouldn’t.

I was raised by gen X parents… I knew the spankings, the "I will go and you will be alone"… my parents transmitted good values to me but I questioned some parts of their education and decided that if I had children one day, I would try to be different. My children will know the realities of the world we live in, but will be loved and taught things with kindness. No threats, no physical violence. You can't expect a kid to follow a rule if you don't explain why that said rule is important. You can't expect them to be empathetic if you're not empathetic with them first.
