It’s genuinely horrific how many comments think this is funny. That is a child. A toddler. I was treated like this at that age and I’m still facing the repercussions to this day. I truly don’t understand why so many people think it’s acceptable to put their hands on a child and treat them roughly. Ask yourself, would you treat your spouse like this? Your coworker? Your friend? No. You wouldn’t.
I was raised by gen X parents… I knew the spankings, the "I will go and you will be alone"… my parents transmitted good values to me but I questioned some parts of their education and decided that if I had children one day, I would try to be different. My children will know the realities of the world we live in, but will be loved and taught things with kindness. No threats, no physical violence. You can't expect a kid to follow a rule if you don't explain why that said rule is important. You can't expect them to be empathetic if you're not empathetic with them first.
No reason

This is very generalizing I've seen other generations do this as well and pretty bad content to put up.
Why have you named it gen X parenting and then hashtagged millennial parenting? You know they are two distinct generations right?
But im like to know how to not go on your end 😕 I think you can find the wrong
The fact that these were all things my mom and dad did to me that I thought were okay is wild 😳 l wouldn’t talk to my kids this way at all
