The Greater Manchester streets where properties sell the quickest have been revealed, and the majority are in Manchester. New research from Upstix has revealed the 10 fastest selling streets across the region where your house will fly off the market.

Whilst it often comes down to individual preferences, the experts say that access to good transport links, proximity to green spaces, good amenities and a community feel are all likely to be pull factors for buyers – leading to a quicker sale.

Randolph Street in Levenshulme has been named Greater Manchester’s fastest-selling street. Properties, which sell for an average of £180,900, get snapped up by buyers within just 15 days on average. This is nine times faster than the national average, according to Upstix’s database of live UK property market data.

Broom Lane, also in Levenshulme, was the region’s second fastest selling street, with properties taking an average of 30 days to sell at an average price of £236,810.

Coming in a close third was Slate Wharf in Castlefield. Properties here, which average at £285,660, sell within 45 days on average.

Central Road in West Didsbury is next, with an average sale time of 46 days and an average house price of £296,660. This is followed by Nell Lane also in Didsbury, where properties take around 48 days to sell at an average of £345,900.

Broadway in Manchester was also amongst the fastest-selling streets, where homes take around 48 days to get snapped up at an average price of £184,500.

Littleton Road in Salford also made the list, taking around 50 days for a house to sell at the average cost of £197,720. Next was Clyde Road in West Didsbury, where homes sell for an average of £201,250 and take around 51 days to sell.

Completing the list is Urmston Lane in Streford, where homes take around 51 days to sell at an average price of £344,050, followed by Altrincham Road in Wythenshawe which has an average sale time of 56 days an an average house price of £194,530.

Upstix also uncovered the slowest selling streets in the city. Piccadilly Place, M1 emerged as slowest, with properties taking 314 days to sell. It was followed by Arundel Street M15, averaging 294 days and Deansgate, M3 which averaged 274.

Frederick Jones, CEO of Upstix, said: “How potential buyers feel about your home itself is just part of the selling story. They also need to imagine themselves living in your street and enjoying the surrounding area.

“So, if you’re looking to market a property in Manchester in the coming months, don’t overlook that bigger picture. Write a list of what’s to love about where you live in the city and communicate that to your agent, if you’re using one, or to a property-buying company like ours who can use that data to help decide what we can offer you.”

“It’s also worth remembering that one buyer’s red flag could be another’s green light. Someone with no plans to have children could be put off by proximity to a school, meanwhile a young family might snap up a property in a desirable catchment area. Putting yourself in other buyers’ shoes can help you to identify selling points you have never considered.”
