Lewis Hamilton once described it Angela Cullen as “One of the greatest things that has ever happened to me,” but this season the seven-time champion parted ways with his long-time physical therapist. Now he has presented his new fitness team.
Cullen worked with Hamilton from 2016 and became a recognizable figure in the paddock, accompanying the Mercedes driver to almost every single race, equaling Michael Schumacher’s record seven drivers’ championships. However, in March the champion and his coach announced on social media that they would no longer work together.

“I have a slightly different constellation – two people share the roles,” said Hamilton in Miami. “It’s the same for the rest of my team. Angela and I were chatting the other day, we keep in touch pretty constantly.”
“Like I said before, we were always in each other’s lives and always looking forward to our next fun adventure, whether that be skydiving or maybe climbing Mount Everest at some point, who knows? We just keep supporting each other on our travels.”
“This setup I have right now is great: one of the guys who’s been with me since, Stevo, has been with me since my first race at McLaren, he followed me here when I moved here from McLaren as my gearbox engineer. “And he’s taken on different roles and he’s helping me right now,” Hamilton said.
“It’s great because we’ve never always had that much time… the weekends are so busy it’s a bit of a chat in the garage, but now we have a little more exciting journey ahead of us together.” But other than that, I’m working with someone in my apprenticeship, she’s here, Kylie, and then I’ve got Santi here too, I’ve got … a great support structure.”
The Brit has achieved two fifth places, a podiumand two sixth places he takes Fourth overall after the 2023 Miami Grand Prix. Next up for the field is Imola – where Hamilton finished 13th last year.
