With the seasonal influx of corporate and international students looking for property in preparation for the year ahead, Hamptons has made a strategic move with the launch of its new International Lettings department.
Steered by Jack Lau, Associate for International Lettings, the department will not only cater to students, but also young professionals and corporate tenants in pursuits of Build to Rent options or second-hand stock in and around London, close to their place of work.
This is in direct response to a significant increase in enquiries, particularly from Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Taiwan nationals all looking to live in the Capital and the surrounding suburbs.
Families predominantly looking for second-hand stock in Prime Central London, with a view to purchasing a home once settled, will also be serviced, as will overseas landlords who wish to hold property in the UK as an investment.
Jack is a new appointment to Hamptons and brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding about the UK property market and his expertise is tailored to meet the nuanced needs of international clients. Jack will be supported by an additional six members of the wider International Residential team.
Matt Goldsworthy, Head of International Residential at Hamptons, commented: “As you’d expect, most prospective tenants contact us with a modest understanding of London and the property landscape and the help available currently is limited. Our new department is perfectly positioned to provide a seamless service to the distinctive requirements of international renters – which includes pairing overseas clients with a representative who can speak the same language and help them find a home in which to live and love.”
