The Financial Times will publish its sixth annual list of European diversity leaders in November. That’s why, as in previous years, we are now calling on FT readers to provide their opinions for this ranking of inclusive businesses.
Our research will help assess the extent to which listed and private companies in 16 European countries have a diverse and inclusive workforce. The results will be based on the perceptions of your employees and peers who participate in this online surveyin addition to independent data sources.

Readers, employees, HR experts and recruiters can fill this out online questionnaire, which should take about eight minutes. The data will be collected and verified by Statista, our research partner.
The deadline to complete the survey is June 14th. Your responses will be anonymous for publication.
The 2024 ranking was led by Stora Enso, the Finnish/Swedish manufacturer and processor of materials, metals and paper, which has made rigorous efforts to identify and address gender pay gaps among its employees. Second place in the ranking was taken by the British group InterContinental Hotels. Infineon, the German specialist in semiconductors, electronics and electrical engineering, and leader of the 2023 ranking, took third place last year.
The same as last year’s Diversity Leaders ranking, to be considered, companies must employ at least 250 people and be based in one of the following countries: Austria; Belgium; Denmark; Finland; France; Germany; Ireland; Italy; Luxembourg; The Netherlands; Norway; Poland; Spain; Sweden; Swiss; or the United Kingdom.
The survey will assess companies’ achievements in promoting five aspects of diversity: gender balance, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity and disability. The survey results will account for 70 percent of a company’s final score, and three other data points will account for 30 percent: the proportion of women in management positions; communication made in favor of diversity; and a diversity score calculated by data provider Denominator, on a scale of zero to 100.
The ranking will be published on FT.com on October 29 and will be included in a special report in the Financial Times newspaper on November 14.
