  1. Ambitious , ultra focused on your goal in life you really want to and most importantly gotta love what you do. On lighter note, So to succeed you gotta know what to do and want for the rest of your life at the age of 5. lol.

  2. Stretegy?… No such thing in f1 races…. You are dressing up tactics, tacticions, software Intel and emotional tactics as something else…. Reporters must report true facts not make things up. Ted you may have read your art of war but never understood it? This would make professional strategists in global companies laugh at such claims…. F1 benefit from tactions as with other sports, but never use the word strategy that's misleading..

  3. Now before I ask my question I want to 1st start with I love F1. I retired out of the Army a few years ago and for the first time, I was actually able to sit down and follow the teams and races. And sometimes being here in the US, it's hard to find a channel or network that will actually show it. I had to purchase a Playstation VUE account at $50 a month just to watch F1. Then sometimes I wouldn't get all of the practice sessions or the qualifications. But I stayed dedicated. So now to my question. Why do we now see more Men of color on the Grid or in the Paddock? Yes, some will say Lewis is one. Part true, but Lewis is mixed and I know in Europe most people consider you black if you're mixed. But sorry that person is mixed. Their not black or white or whatever. They are mixed. My girls are mixed and that is how my wife and I raise them. They have the unique right to both sides of the spectrum. The good and bad! So I mean where are the actual people of color? Plenty of us love F1 and are Intelligent and experienced in the world of motorsports. And like anything else in life, there is a thing called training. My question isnt meant to draw some clown out of the shadows and asking me some retarded question about Racism. Racism is thinking your Race is more superior than another. I'm asking out of general curiosity. I cant tell you how much I love how Europe has so many things connected to auto racing and bike racing that we here in America do not have. Thanks Guys and please keep up the good work!!

  4. Is it too late for someone later in life (33 yo) to go back to school for engineering to try and get into F1? Also I'm American so I bet there's another hurdle there, F1 isn't really that popular over here. Also, would knowing foreign languages help, German and Japanese or any other language?

  5. Great video! But I’m utterly obsessed with F1 and not from an engineering background. Any advice how to break into non technical roles such as sales and marketing. I have 7 years experience in both and would love to apply my passion in those business support roles, any advice??

  6. This was very helpful. I am an 18 year old hoping to get into F1 some day and also hoping to go to university next year and seeing this gives me hope that with hard work someday I can make it to the legendary motorsport of F1.

  7. F1 : Want some advice on how to join us? Check this out!
Interview : Camera like it was in the early 2000's, audio sounds like there's a heli engine being repaired behind.
F1 : Did everyone get it? Good. Moving on..

  8. This video brought back the old memories… I have done A levels and O levels too in late 90s…when I was in Cypress. I was born in Iran and Now I live in USA…what a small world…

  9. Get in to F1;
    1 – Born into a rich family.
2 – If in the UK, live in the south, near London if your 100 miles or more out, you've got no hope.
3 – Have lots of money.
    4 – Know some in F1, specifically a parent in F1.
***5 – If all else fails get your billionaire parent to buy you an F1 seat/team, like most of the grid these days.

It's an amazing sport, and it is very sad that it has come to this, but unfortunately money far surpasses talent in the world of F1. That's the truth these days.

  10. Internet Video Audio students please please help Sky with their video and audio quality. It's mostly been low quality. Why is it such low quality? Are they using reasonable quality hardware or just their phones? Are they even using a microphone or camera?
Sky, please can you tell us about the equipment being used, it's an interesting story on it's own. We are in a pandemic, Sky is trying to keep broadcasting content, so that's good. How are you doing this? Why are other YouTubers videos of higher quality audio and video? Is there a process you have in place to improve this?
Are you looking at experienced YouTubers for advice?

  11. Sky, just buy and send out some Logitech 1080p webcams and mics for interviews, the crappy audio and video quality made this unwatchable for me.

  12. Ted is the best presenter in the F1 paddock across all the different providers. For me, the technical and engineering side of F1 is way more interesting than the race. Listening to Ted’s post race paddock walk / talk is my highlight of the weekend. Keep going Ted, you are awesome.

  13. My name is also Ruth and I am an engineering student involved in formula SAE (in the U.S.) who is interested in working in Formula 1. Thank you so much for showcasing women in motorsport and speaking about how to get involved in formula 1!!

  14. Ultimately, you have to dearly dearly love the sport and the engineering with a passion. The reality is most graduates from Cambridge or Oxford end up in financial services for a simple reason: Money and smarts.

Theres a lot of smarts in F1, but until you are talking of top positions like above Principle engineer or very experienced senior engineer, the money is not there to attract the best and brightest. Entry level salaries in banking and Finance outstrips a mid level engineers pay, even taking into account, F1 pays slightly better than the wiser automotive world.

It takes a unique individual to work in Formula 1, and that's a great thing there are people like that in this world.

  15. Ted and Brundle are basically why I watch Sky F1. Without them I doubt F1 would hold the same value. Though, surprisingly, I really enjoy it when Rosberg comes on, his insight, willingness to speak straight, and actually reveal the inner workings is fascinating to a non-paddock member like myself. God I miss Murray Walker though. He was truly special, he was iconic. Britain was blessed.
Although most countries probably have someone like that too. In my case as an Aussie, any of us say 35 or over will have vivid memories of the hot Summer heat seeping through everything, the house, the backyard, the shed, patio, garage, etc and whether you were eating, building, talking, resting, reading, drinking, etc there would INEVITABLY be a TV or radio on turned up high with Richie Benaud covering the cricket. For us Aussie his voice was as much a part of Summer as the sound of the cicadas.

  16. I want to be a f1 driver but my parents have said I have to buy my own go kart but at my mums school they have electric go karts could I still compete could you give me some tips of how to become a driver for f1
