OpenAI AI-powered chatbot platform ChatGPT It continues to expand with new features. Now it offers a store: the GPT Store – for AI-powered applications and services. And soon, ChatGPT will get an updated voice mode, allowing you to interact with the platform more or less in real time.
So you might be wondering: How much does ChatGPT cost? It’s a harder question to answer than you think. OpenAI offers a variety of plans for ChatGPT, both paid and free, aimed at customers ranging from individuals to non-profit organizations, small and medium-sized businesses, educational institutions and enterprises.

Free ChatGPT
Once upon a time the free version of ChatGPT I was pretty limited in what I could do. But that has changed as OpenAI has implemented new generative AI capabilities and underlying models.
Free ChatGPT users get access to OpenAI flagship model GPT-4oresponses augmented with web content, access to GPT Store and the ability to upload files and photos and ask questions about those uploads. Users can also store chat preferences as “memories” and take advantage of advanced data analytics, a ChatGPT feature that can “reason” (that is, analyze data from) files such as spreadsheets and PDFs.

Additionally, ChatGPT Plus subscribers get an enhanced data analysis feature, supported by GPT-4o, that can create interactive graphs and charts from data sets. Users can upload files for analysis directly from Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive or from their devices.
ChatGPT Team
Let’s say you own a small business or manage an organization and want more than one ChatGPT license, plus collaborative features. ChatGPT team could fit the bill: Costs $30 per user per month or $25 per user per month billed annually for up to 149 users.
ChatGPT Team provides a dedicated workspace and administration tools for team management. All users of a ChatGPT Team plan get access to the latest OpenAI models and the aforementioned tools that allow ChatGPT to analyze, edit, and extract information from files. Beyond this, ChatGPT Team allows people within a team to create and share custom apps, similar to GPT Store apps, based on OpenAI models. These applications can be tailored to specific use cases or departments, or tailored to a team’s data.
ChatGPT Company
Large organizations (any organization that needs more than 149 ChatGPT licenses, to be specific) can choose to ChatGPT Company, OpenAI’s enterprise-focused ChatGPT plan. OpenAI does not publish the price of ChatGPT Enterprise, but the reported The cost is around $60 per user per month with a minimum of 150 users and a 12-month contract.
ChatGPT Enterprise adds “enterprise-grade” privacy and data analytics capabilities on top of basic ChatGPT, as well as improved performance and customization options. There is a dedicated workspace and management console with tools to manage how employees within an organization use ChatGPT, including integrations for single sign-on, domain verification, and a dashboard that shows usage and engagement statistics.
Shareable conversation templates provided as part of ChatGPT Enterprise allow users to create internal workflows and bots leveraging ChatGPT, while credits for the OpenAI API platform allow companies to create fully custom solutions powered by ChatGPT if they wish. .
ChatGPT Enterprise customers also get priority access to models and lines of expertise at OpenAI, including a dedicated account team, training, and consolidated billing. And they are eligible for commercial partnership agreements with OpenAI, which are required by US law for companies that want to use tools like ChatGPT with private health information, such as medical records.
ChatGPT Education
ChatGPT Education, a newer offering from OpenAI, it offers a version of ChatGPT built for universities and the students who attend them, as well as faculty, research staff, and campus operations teams. Prices have not yet been made public or reported second-hand, but we will update this section if so.
ChatGPT Edu is comparable to ChatGPT Enterprise with the exception that it supports SCIM, an open protocol used to simplify identity and access management in the cloud. (OpenAI plans to bring SCIM to ChatGPT Enterprise in the future.) As with ChatGPT Enterprise, ChatGPT Edu customers get data analytics tools, administrative controls, single sign-on, enhanced security, and the ability to create and share custom chatbots.
ChatGPT Edu also comes with the latest OpenAI models and, more importantly, increased message limits.
OpenAI for Nonprofits
OpenAI for Nonprofits is OpenAI’s first foray into technology solutions for nonprofits. It’s not so much a standalone ChatGPT plan as a variety of discounts for eligible organizations.
Nonprofits can access the ChatGPT team at a discount of $20 per month per user. Larger nonprofits can get a 50% discount on ChatGPT Enterprise, which works out to about $30 per user.
However, the eligibility requirements are quite strict. While nonprofits based anywhere in the world can apply for discounts, OpenAI does not currently accept applications from academic, medical, religious, or government institutions.
