I would rather have an AI that fact checks it's responses. I'm still looking for an answer for how to learn computer science topics using AI. The problem is that right now you need to already be an expert both in prompt engineering and the domain of computer science to obtain responses an actual expert would give you. You need to correct ChatGPT way too often…so much so you're better off just learning by yourself than wasting time with insanely detailed prompts to get quality output from Chatgpt. For language learning ChatGpt is just fine but for any actual domain like math or computer science it's mostly a waste of time.
I really like using it to break down Japanese sentences into their grammatical parts. It's way easier than having to ask questions in learning forums or websites. It's very useful.
hello, i'm having some difficulty getting the audio. how do I implement this? i am having a regular PC / Windows, I have Chrome, I have on my phone, google play store?
I have not been able to get the speaking happening from chatgpt on the iPhone. I have managed to activate for me to speak into it. There’s something missing in your video. I asked chatgpt how to activate the voice response from its side and it replied that it was essentially a text based interaction rather than spoken responses.
I wouldn't use chat GPT as a key resource for listening or speaking practice as you won't learn a natural way to speak, the accent is very robootic and stiff and you don't want to base your listening skills on an unnatural speech pattern as when you come speaking it with people each with different accents, flows, intenations, etc with their speech you will be lost.
I'm not sure there is a "Modern RP" — I think linguists call that "Standard Southern British English" Real RP should offer no clues at all about what region a person is from, as I understand it, and most people who speak that way these days learned English in like a fancy English boarding school, or something, abroad. As in Freddie Mercury.
that sounds too good to be true. I am German, my target language to learn is Thai. I use the Brave browser in MacOS. Voicewave does not offer Thai, Voicecontrol does not support Brave (and sounds anything else but natural), Duolingo does not offer Thai. Just curious: what exactly makes Thai less interesting than Japanese, Korean or Vietnamese? next I will give my iPad a chance. Thank you for your video.
This looks like a good idea, but doesn't seem to work for Linux/Brave. Also, there doesn't seem to be an official chatgpt app for android, nor does the chrome extension store work for mobile. 🙁
I’m using chatGPT as a writing buddy for my research papers. I’m not a native speaker, and chatGPT helps me to get a decent result very quickly. However, I’ve detected a strange problem with my prompts. Usually, I write a paragraph and then ask chatGPT to revise it. I would tell it to sound academic and so on. An I also ask it to use British English. Unfortunately, I always get a revised version in American English, for example emphasize instead of emphasise. Maybe I should take more time to write better prompts, but I thought giving me answers in BE shouldn’t be a big problem. Nevertheless, it’s a great tool to improve my academic English skills
Amazing 🙂

When is the course (learning how to learn)launching?
Thanks Dr Young!
Wow! it's amazing.😊😊
Mic is working, but it won't play the audio for the text. I am not sure why or if there needs to be a setting enabled.
ChatGPT has an app on android? I don't see it??

I've been using it to study Esperanto but it tends to make a lot of grammatical mistakes :/
Which chatgpt app for Android?
Why do you make your screen move during the video? Are you trying to trigger the YT algo for some reason?

Thank you so much!
Great video.. ChatGPT has a lot of inaccurate translations though especially on less mainstream languages.

is voice wave can be for safari too? how to control setting voicewave to change voice often when learning several languages?

" Learning a new language will improve your work life" or something like that he said. " Hey boss, I just learned Aramaic."
Boss- " What's that".
Probably the best Chat GPT video for language learning I have seen. Thank you!

Wow. I'm impressed. The tip about Voice Wave is amazing. Thumb up
Didn't have a clue you could do this. Thanks

Excellent Alex. Thank you!

I gotta slow this speaker down! English is my first language but I speak maybe 1/2 as fast as he does😢❤ Thanks for the info nonetheless…
