How to Make a Charcuterie Board: Cheesescapes Small Business Owner in Northwest Indiana Shares the Best Way to Build Cheese and Meat Platters

CHICAGO (WLS) — From wine nights to weddings, charcuterie boards are still in style.

Grazing boards, platters and stalls are usually filled with meats, cheeses, olives, fruits and breads.

A northwest Indiana small business owner joined ABC7 Chicago on Wednesday to talk more about them and said they’re not difficult to make.

Alex Laviolette is the owner of “Cheesescapes” and explained how to make one.

Laviolette said cheese is the main focus, so start with that. It also includes sweet jam or honey, and you can complement the rest.

His business started small, with tutorials, and now he builds boards for hundreds of people.
