I have a doll collector friend who ordered that doll and received a tabletop Christmas tree instead. After contracting the company, it was determined that the person who ordered the Christmas tree received the alien instead. I would pay good money to have seen their face when they opened the box containing Grayson (the gray alien son) and saw what it was. 😂

My daughter figured out the key to making the fully black-eyed critters look not terrifying. I’m obligated to paint on the white ‘sparkles/shine’ onto the eyes of anything that doesn’t have it. I already know she’d be asking me to paint them onto that alien baby if it were her LOL.

Taking kids seriously even when their ideas are weird is the best. Being taken serious in small stuff raises their trust that they can come to us with big stuff. And actually, i look forward to organizing my future kids' birthdays. Some of my childless friends say "that's exactly why i don't have kids", but i LOVE organising kids parties. 🎉
