  2. Is it just me, or does this all seem like gaslighting, like getting the smart kid to do all your homework, like putting your name on somebody's else's work? Since LLMs are writing everyone's content for them, you can no longer judge a person by the work they produce. I mean, they're not producing it, are they? ChatGPT is.

  3. O M G! So I copy n pasted some part of chat gpt and in word it didn't show the URL but when I reviewed it where I posted I noticed it hyperlinked my entire summary to chat gpt and even showed the prompts. lol. Be careful. lol

  4. As someone who has interviewed hundreds of people, if someone came to me so polished and so informed it would tell me that in most cases they used AI to create CV and prepare. This would be a red flag for me. I hire people with skills or people with good capabilities and good attitudes. If you are using AI to "curve-fit" to my job specs and my company then it just tells me that you are lazy and in most cases I would pass on you.

  5. Right. I am also looking for opportunities since last 6 months but not got any offer now..
It's just ghosting everywhere LinkedIn naukari…
Today's market is really not good special for those who don't have degree from big name and don't have experience from reputed company..
That's reality. And people play politics…

  6. You are doing great sharing Jeff! and there is an amazing tool called F1 Hire. It’s a game-changer for international students in the US job market, which offers up-to-date H1B history, salary data, E-verify history, and sponsorship availability analysis. Highly recommended.

  7. Hey guys! 👋 I'm considering developing a Python script to automate the task of applying to thousands of jobs on job boards such as LinkedIn, indeed… With plenty of filters for the user and so on.
What are your thoughts on this method, Jeff ?

This comment serves as my informal 'market study' for such a tool, and I'd love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, or if you're interested in collaborating. Would you be interested in something like this for around 5-10$ (perhaps via Upwork)? I believe it could be a great help for the community; with 10,000 applications, you'd only need a 0.01% success rate to land a job! 🚀

Your feedback means a lot, and I might be generous with those who assist with the project if it takes off 😉. If you're interested in collaborating or just want to chat about it, drop your contact below.

Also, I accept anything as "collaboration", be it spreading the word, coding wizardry, marketing magic, graphic design, industry connections… Your contributions, big or small, are highly valued! Feel free to reach out with your thoughts or ideas. 👍🚀Thanks in advance. 👍

P.S. My apologies for any language quirks; English isn't my first language either 😅

  8. Hello Jeff, I'm in search of employment opportunities in an Eastern country where, based on my experience, it's unusual to request a coffee chat with someone you don't know (most people would reject). Could you offer some advice on how to navigate this situation?

  9. 3:08 Is there no dignity or decency anymore, is this mainstream now? What kind of person go to all that lengths to manipulate so they can get foot in a door? It’s a digital equivalent of stalking someone and then using what you learned to manipulate them, stage a meeting or a phone call.

  10. Awesome. This vide is perfect for the current topic I'm dealing with in my foreign language English class (pupils aged 14-15). I'd like to show the video and go into the nitty-gritty of the pieces of advice you give. Here in Germany, the government is yet uncertain about whether to ban ChatGPT or to incorporate it into lessons. I hope you don't mind.

  11. The chapters in your timeline and the timestamps in your pinned comment help so much with referring back to information! Also I really love the visuals you add in your videos. It really helps the information click vs when YouTubers just talk. Those visual aids are a huge help! Great energy from you, fantastic content as always- this is the gold standard right here 😀

  12. Isn’t that terrible for companies? You’re getting someone who probably can’t do the job without AI assistance 🤷🏿‍♂️ then you take them to a meeting or event where they can’t chatgpt all the answers to questions asked on the spot. “Hold on, I need to use the bathroom, I’ll be back with an AI answer” lol

  13. I could have definitely used this when I was job hunting when I graduated in my industry. Luckily since I have spent my career using technology and embracing new analytics and artificial intelligence, this is helping me find a new job after a huge issue at my last position with a manager that acts like he knows more than me.

  14. I've been following your videos and using chatgpt to revamp my resume and cover letter as well as prepping interview questions and it has helped tremendously! Chatgpt totally upgraded everything – of course, I taliored it to sound like me. It provided amazing different ideas and ways of wording my resume and cover letter. I just applied to two jobs and so lets see how it goes! 🤞🤞🤞

  15. The irony here is that we've just introduced an arbitrary middleman layer to the job-seeking process: AI systems are filtering resumes, and now AI systems are writing resumes. All we've achieved here is an adhoc "standardization" of filter-compatible resumes. Pretty stupid.

Clickbait video with too much production quality, but that's the west coast for you.

  16. Thank you so much for your amazing content <3 I did have a question though – i thought recruiters and jobs looked down on using ChatGPT? So much so that there are now ChatGPT & AI detectors to let a company know if the resume/writings are AI generated. Any thoughts or input on this?

  17. Hi Jeff, I love how you not only show the GPT tricks, but also explain the methodology behind it so people can apply the skills to new situations. Greatest online mentor ever! Thanks for your sharing!

  18. Pro tip: as Jeff talked about previously, only use chatgpt for resume and cover letter building – but not the actual interview – recruiters can sniff out folks who don't have the experience to do the job
