A Grade II listed stone-built cottage in a Derbyshire town is for sale for Β£2.5 million. Situated in the rolling countryside of Wildersley Road, the Elizabethan property is believed to be one of the oldest in it Belper area.
The property is called Wildersley Farm and the two acres of land it stands on were once part of the duffield frith and owned by De Ferrers of Duffield Castle. The name Wildersley is believed to refer to a clearing in the woods, used as a place to rest and have refreshments during a deer hunt.
The six-bedroom main house is called The Farmhouse, which has six bathrooms, fireplaces, and its own wet bar. Other rooms, all generously sized with high ceilings and exposed treated solid oak beams, include a lounge, open plan kitchen and dining area.

Entrepreneurs may have their eye on this property as it features a three-bedroom vacation lodge and a three-bedroom log cabin that can be rented. Hunters Lodge self-catering holiday home features two ground floor bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, bar and lounge.
The staircase takes you to bedroom number three, which arguably offers the best views of the Derbyshire countryside from the entire property. The log cabin is a single story building with three bedrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room.
Outside, there are a variety of outbuildings and stables that could use some TLC. But visitors can still find two hot tubs, a fire pit with seating, and a variety of outdoor dining and lounging areas.
The property, which offers ample parking for numerous cars behind private electric gates, is on the market with estate agent Luxury Property Partners for Β£2.5 million.
