“I wanted to create pieces that you would have forever, infused with the spirit of what Indiana is,” says Melissa Morris, founder of luxury leather goods brand Métier, of her new collaboration with production company Lucasfilm. Now they are launching a special collection of co-designed limited edition leather bags and accessories. Each channeling the intrepid spirits of the characters, including a modular chocolate chamois hunter messenger bag (£1,750) inspired by the one worn by Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character Helena, which can be teamed with the separate mesh basket bag (£580). “She’s a bit of a nomad and quite cunning, so we designed it to look like she had picked up a piece of cloth from somewhere and roughly sewn it together, with secret pockets that she could hide things in.”

There will also be a unique beige suede duffel bag, with a patchwork lining made from leftover fabrics from the film, including bits and pieces from Indiana suits and shirts (£3550). “I liked the idea that each one was unique because [the film’s] all about authentic artifacts and world heritage preservation,” Morris explains. Each will come with a serial number and special packaging detailing the origins of the fabrics. For the Indiana Jones fan, it’s a chance to own “a piece of movie history,” Johnston says, and one that will only “get more beautiful in its patina of aging.”
