A once-animated residence, now an abandoned relic frozen in time, has been rendered with eerie images showing a half-finished board game left looking as if it had just stopped playing.

Urban explorer Enrique R., 18, from Washington Township, USA, captured eerie images of this abandoned house that rotted away after the owners were forced to evict about ten years ago.

He recently explored the house, located in New Jersey, United States armed with his trusty Pixel 7 phone where he found the traces of the abrupt departure of the family.

Legend has it that about a decade ago, the property’s last occupants, identified as Mr. and Mrs. Smith, were forced to vacate under dire circumstances following a police raid targeting drug-related activities.

Mr. Smith allegedly got into a confrontation with law enforcement authorities over drug charges, which led to his arrest. As a consequence, the mother and child were forced to flee, leaving behind the lingering secrets of the house.

Enrique’s expedition discovered a dwelling place suspended in time, as if the Smiths had been gone for only moments.

Of all the disturbing discoveries, it was the youngest daughter’s room that resonated most deeply with Enrique. Frozen in time, he bore an eerie resemblance to the day he left.

A half-finished board game lay idle on the table, waiting to be finished by the family who would never return.

Everything left Enrique with an indescribable discomfort. He couldn’t help but feel a deep chilling sensation as he became a firsthand observer of the wreckage left behind.

He said: “It was built around the 1960s as a home for Mr and Mrs Smith where they eventually settled down and had a child, however Mr Smith began to get into shady dealings involving the use and drug dealing, and the cops finally found out where he lived,” he said.

“There was a long standoff, and when the police finally entered and searched the house, they arrested the man and found a lot of drugs inside, like fentanyl.

“It has been abandoned for about ten years. At first it felt quite creepy as everything was still inside just as the owners left it.

“My favorite part was seeing the girl’s bedroom on the second floor. Everything was still frozen in time inside, even with a half-finished round of board game still on the table.

“It was great to explore it and see all that was still inside, it was sad and surprising at the same time, knowing that the family had to get up and leave, especially the daughter who had to leave all her belongings behind.”
