Internal Compensation Estimator

About:

The US Internal Compensation Estimator is an interactive tool which allows staffing firms to benchmark the pay of their internal workers based on different employee criteria, such as job title, years of experience and staffing segment focus. In addition, all compensation figures presented can be adjusted for differences in geographic location. Below is a short overview of all the features in this tool followed by a link to the tool itself.

Overview:

The tool consists of three main pages:

Compensation By Geography:

Most of the tool’s functionality resides here. This tab allows users to select among four comparison views along with the option to further drill down by specific employee criteria. For benchmarking purposes, this tool displays the median, 25th percentile, and 75th percentile alongside one another, providing an interquartile range of values.

This page provides a number of data cross-sections: “across industry experience”, “across staffing segment focus”, “across job title”, and “across company size.” Furthermore, compensation can be defined by setting the “metric” to either base salary, total cash compensation, bonus, or bonus as a percentage of base pay.

Y/Y Change in Base Salary:

Get a sense of the current trends in base salary. This tab provides a distribution of percentage increase in base salary based on an employee’s role, staffing segment focus, and/or years of industry experienc

Notes:

The third and final tab is the notes section. Here is where users can get instructions on using the geographic adjustment, demonstrations of interactive features, and finer details about the tool and its data.
