Since exercise doesn’t make you lose weight, you don’t (necessarily) need to do more than your job. https://getyourgoal.com/

I’m a radiation therapist and by the end of the day I frequently don’t have the energy to workout. I’m replaying the 5 pounds down series, but only 1-3 a week.
With all the extra physical work of taking care of a lawn … mowing, weeding, digging, planting & watering… I have had to take some time off from “working out”. I try to pay attention to how much energy I have.
The thing that’s been harder for me is getting to bed on time. It stays light here until 10 pm & I always have so much to do, it’s hard for me to pay attention to time. My brain & body think if it’s light outside, it’s day time. I have to be up at 5 am for work every day, so a 10 pm bed time is too late for me.
Shoutout to nurses everywhere. I have NO IDEA how my mom can spend 12 hours a day, 4 days a week, only 2 weeks off a year, for 25 years in a row on her feet running around dealing with patients and their families. That sounds so incredibly mentally and physically exhausting.
I'm a local stagehand. I don't work every day, but when I do, I get a full workout that isn't moderate! My problem is that there is no consistency to what hours I work. Usually, I work in the morning for a few hours and then go back to work at night. For example, this Saturday, I'll work from 9 am until at least 1pm, have some time off, maybe come back at 6 or 7 pm to do the show, but definitely return at 10:30pm to load the show out and be done by 2:30 am. Next week, I might start at 5 am – who knows!
However, I've had a couple weeks since my last gig, which is when I started the 31 Day Challenge, and I am well on my way to my goals already! Thank you, Pahla, for making this series and giving us this sensible way to get healthy!
