US initial jobless claims remained unchanged in the week ended April 27 from the previous week at 208,000, the US Department of Labor reported today. However, the previous week’s level was revised upward by 1,000.
The Associated Press noted the number of people applying for unemployment remains historically low.
Meanwhile, the four-week moving average of claims fell by 3,500 to a level of 210,000. The previous week’s level was revised upward by 250.
