  1. To explain Boy, he first appears in If The Emperor Had A Podcast as the serf that holds Big E's microphone.

I hope to see you watch the bonus episodes of TTS now that the main series is done.

Also, if you want more 40k content, you should consider Five(ish) Minute Lore by Old Man Reacts. It's basically 40k lore explained in memes and it is fucking hilarious.

  2. Why did this suddenly remind me of the mechanics in the “World of Darkness: Vampire the Masquerade” books for how damage works?🤔 Probably because I feel like explaining why the vampires were shrugging off gunshot wounds lol.

Basically, your HP in the WoD game is several empty boxes on the character sheet [__] And you don’t get a lot of those. (like, 10-12 MAX, I think) When your character takes non-lethal damage (getting punched in the face) you put a slash through a box, and if it’s lethal damage it’s an X. This allows roll-over where taking enough non-lethal damage will become lethal damage as you just add / to all the boxes that were already filled with .

There’s also aggravated damage which is like, explosions for humans, silver for werewolves, sunlight for vampires, but I don’t quite remember how that works. I know it can roll-over too if you fill every HP box with X’s and just keep attacking, but I don’t remember if you’re supposed to circle the HP box ([__]) or cross and circle it ([X]) or just fill the box in.😅

ANYWAY, a gimmick for vampires that I remember specifically is that Lethal damage is considered Non-lethal for them, with FEW exceptions. 🤔 And MAYBE they gradually lose slashmarks through boxes WAY faster than normal humans do…I mean, I know they regenerate but I don’t remember the mechanics for that.😅

So, you know, if anyone was wondering how Sludgelad and Apeboy were surviving multiple gunshot wounds, it’s not because WoD Vampires are “immune to everything except wooden stakes”. The bullets were doing the exact same type of damage as if they got punched really, REALLY hard. And enough bullets can take out a vampire, but at that point you’re replaying *THAT* scene from the original Robocop, lol.

…and it’s why the best tool for hunters in any WoD game are shotguns, and reminds me of my favorite phrase for describing hunters in WoD. “Monsters are wolves among sheep, and you’re just another sheep. But you’re a sheep with a shotgun. Baa-baa, bitch.”
