Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and cremation services, but we will accept submissions from family members. Obituaries may be emailed to obituaries@readingeagle.com.
In addition to the obituary text, you may attach any photographs you wish to include to this email. Place the obituary text in a Word document, Google Doc, or in the body of the email. The Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so please include the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service in charge of the deceased’s care or a photo of their death certificate. We also request that your full name, phone number, and address be included in this email.
All family payments must be made by credit card. We will send you proof of the completed obituary before requesting payment. However, the obituary will not be published until we receive full payment.
Obituaries may be submitted for any future date but must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day before the obituary is due to be published.
