SAN ANTONIO (March 20, 2024)) – The City of San Antonio and Herospace are partnering to help San Antonio small businesses reach more customers online. Businesses of any size looking for professional digital support can take an easy-to-use online survey to receive a detailed report that will help them understand the strengths and weaknesses of their online presence. The Digital Presence Program is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
To be considered for free digital services, businesses must meet size guidelines and be based in San Antonio. Business owners who need more help with their web presence and digital skills will be prioritized. Small businesses located in specific areas of current or future construction projects in the city can also receive free digital services.
“The city of San Antonio is home to a variety of small businesses, each of which has its own unique business needs,” said Brenda Hicks-Sorensen, director of the City of San Antonio’s Department of Economic Development. “A company’s digital presence can be critical to customer awareness and growth, which is why we provide professional digital services resources where needed.”
The program begins with a survey asking small business owners about their websites and digital skills. Businesses will then meet with a digital marketing expert who will review the report and develop a personalized plan to improve their online presence regarding their website, social media accounts, photos or videos. Small businesses that need the most assistance or are in areas with long-term construction projects in the city get additional digital help for free.
Small businesses will learn to:
- Create websites and use social media to reach more customers online.
- Get more people to visit and contact your business through the internet.
- Attract potential clients and connect with current clients.
The program aims to increase the visibility and connectivity of small businesses through their digital presence. For more information and to take the survey, visit the Digital Presence Program Website.
