LEVEL UP LB offers funds and assistance from small businesses

Long Beach has opened applications for the second round of its level of image change and subsidy of Small Business LB: Extreme Small Business.

Level LB It was created to financially help aspiring entrepreneurs with their small businesses and help them create sustainable business plans. Through this program, 20 small companies will receive support services, participate in workshops and win $ 10,000 in subsidy funds to advance their commercial objectives.

Applicants chosen for Level Up of the second LB cohort will connect with information resources and workshops throughout a ten -week course that will focus on the creation of new commercial and marketing plans. After the completion of the course, companies will receive $ 10,000 in subsidy funds to grow their business and implement their plans.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and represent 52% of jobs in Long Beach,” said Mayor Rex Richardson in a public statement. “The continuation of the LB LB program reflects our commitment to support small businesses, reinforce the creation of local employment, innovation and connection, and the economic future of our city.”

Applications are now open until Thursday, March 20 at 5 pm. The companies that apply will be evaluated based on their needs, preparation to participate and a potential impact on the program on the growth of their business. For more eligibility details, visit longbeach.gov/levelup.

LEVEL UP LB is led by the personnel of the Department of Economic Development together with the support of local partners. The companies chosen for the program will evaluate their business plan, finance, sales metrics and ways to achieve the next growth level.

Bizcare staff of the Economic Development Department will provide technical assistance in person with the application process on Thursday, February 13, 8 am to 11 am in the Long Beach Workforce Innovation Network Site Professional Services for Adults (4811 Airport Plaza Drive).
