“2023 was a challenging year for companies adjusting to post-pandemic conditions, including a tight job market, inflationary pressures, the need for sales growth and the importance of operational efficiency. SIA’s Best Staffing Firms To Work For are shining examples of companies who prioritized and maximized their employee engagement as reported by their own employees,” said SIA President Ursula Williams. “Congratulations to our 2024 honorees for fostering fantastic company cultures and keeping their employees excited to come to work each day.

Over 400 firms sought participation in the program this year, which was conducted by SIA in conjunction with Quantum Workplace, an Omaha, Nebraska-based company. Internal employees at each participating firm were asked to complete an approximately 40-question online survey that measures six key engagement categories. Focus areas include communication and resources, individual needs, manager effectiveness, personal engagement, team dynamics and trust in leadership. Winners were chosen based entirely on the survey results.

Key findings from the survey results are covered in SIA’s industry research. The 2024 Best Staffing Firms to Work For awards are sponsored by Sense, an AI-powered talent engagement and communication platform.

“In 2023, a year marked by continued adaptation and transformation, these winners have demonstrated a commitment to delivering value and care; this dedication is truly commendable,” said Anil Dharni, CEO and co-founder of Sense. “We celebrate their success and acknowledge their spirit in the pursuit of excellence. Their achievements set an inspiring standard for others, reminding us of the power of resilience and commitment even amidst challenging circumstances.”

In order to gather statistically sound results, participating companies must have reached a minimum level of employee participation, based on total number of employees. Responses from each question of each completed survey were compiled and evaluated. Companies in each size category were ranked according to their overall composite score.

All winning companies are listed on the Best Staffing Firms To Work/Temp For website with profiles for grand prize winners. The winning companies are also featured in the March/April issue of Staffing Industry Review magazine. A recognition event to honor the winning firms takes place as part of the annual Executive Forum North America.
