Head to Head Ranking
Tsunoda 9 – Ricciardo 5
Tsunoda has had the upper hand in qualifying so far, with the 24-year-old outpacing Ricciardo on nine of the 14 occasions.
However, while Tsunoda led the way during the early part of the season, Ricciardo has more often had the advantage in recent races, having placed ahead in four of the last six events before the summer break.
Ricciardo also claimed the team’s best grid position of the year in Canada, where, in only his second Q3 appearance to that point in 2024, he claimed a surprise fifth place.

Head to head race
Tsunoda 8 – Ricciardo 5
Tsunoda has also emerged victorious in terms of results on the day, having achieved a better result than his team-mate in eight Grands Prix so far, while Ricciardo has had a better result on five occasions. China is not included here, as both drivers recorded a retirement in Shanghai.
Tsunoda is now responsible for 22 of the team’s 34 points. But, as with the standings, Ricciardo has shown signs of progress as the season has progressed and has crossed the line ahead of Tsunoda more frequently over the past few weekends.
