I see so much talk about how the Red Bull is the faster car. The skill ceiling of the car is higher, but that's much more of a compliment to Max. So many Hamilton fans just say the RB is the faster car and it's Max's to lose. The red bull is a smaller, lighter car and has a lot of rake, it's much harder to drive than the Merc because of this. Any force applied to the car in breaking/turning has to be reacted to faster, going even slightly off line in faster corners is far more punishing etc. Being exactly consistent for 50-80 laps with the pressure is something I think no other driver can do
Honestly though I'm really looking forward to the budget restrictions, this will clearly make driver skill have more of an impact as the cars should be on a more level playing field, hopefully we get to see a range of teams in the top 4 each qualifying session and we get to see exactly how good the new generation of drivers are

F1 should focus on offering better racing first. That’s what people want but they failed miserably in that regard so they divert attention to other issues where their impact is minimum anyways.

Now remember the 9 drivers in front at the start of this race consisted of former F1 Champion and wannabe F1 Champion.
