George Russell made headlines in Belgium, winning the race in spectacular fashion, before becoming the first driver in 30 years to be disqualified from a race. I loved his appearance at the end of the race and the way he decided the strategy from the cockpit, basically ignoring his team and staying out to win at the finish line.
Mercedes has already begun to analyse what went wrong to allow the car to have such a low weight, which cost the team a splendid one-two finish. But it is not the first time the team has had problems like this recently, with Russell being eliminated in Q1 in Hungary (because he did not have enough fuel on board for the session) and Hamilton being disqualified from P2 in Austin last year for excessive wear on the tyres.
