PALMER: Norris could still mount a genuine title challenge this year if he sorts out a crucial part of his race weekend.

Lando Norris produced his best performance of the year at Zandvoort, taking a comfortable pole position on Saturday before a strong performance on Sunday that saw him win by the biggest margin of the season and also set the fastest lap on the final lap, underlining his Dutch dominance. But there is one part of his weekend that he still needs to work on: his starts.

Zandvoort was Lando’s sixth pole position in Formula 1. He has taken four Grand Prix poles and two Sprint poles, and in the Netherlands he maintained his grim record of failing to score a goal. any of them in a lead on lap 1.
