Mila’s parents are blind, but she can see. The 7-year-old can and must be independent, and sometimes, her parents just have to let go.

Whether they’re crossing the road or doing housework: Mila’s parents had to trust her from a very early age. But, at the same time, they don’t want their child to feel burdened with the responsibility of looking out for the family: Mila should be able to have a normal a childhood as possible. 1. My mom was blind for one year. I was grown with a ten year old daughter at the time and it was hard. My mom lived on her own and I did all the doctors appointments etc for her. She had diabetic cataract surgery and was able to see again. I can't imagine being a child and having to grow up so quickly. But her parents are absolutely amazing and I appreciate how they insist on providing her with a wonderful life. Sadly, I lost my mom in October. But I'm grateful for the time I had even that period of blindness.

  2. It was very irresponsible and selfish of this blind couple to have a child. Although they say that their daughter "is not a domestic help" , the reality is is that she DOES and WILL have to help her parents and DOESN'T and WON'T have a regular carefree childhood that every child deserves to have.

  3. The blind visually impaired was able to find a good guy, while thousands of single women with good eyesight can't find a good guy 😉

  4. You both do a wonderful job. You have opened my eyes to what possibilities blind people can avail. Thank you for sharing snippets of your lihe with me and others.

  5. DW with another amazing documentary👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻 about Irons' conscious family ….for having a child & settle family life).. God bless their lives, steps… this video learning others for having strong conscious & morality for capitulation of hard, harsh circumstances … good luck for DW documentary channel

  6. The beautiful fact the two lovely blind people have a seeing child. I really hope they live a happy fulfilled life. I hope more seeing people give the family the respect they deserve!

  7. The DW family, what can I say, always shining {thank you in all the languages of the world} your humanity is limitless. A distinguished reportage that is more than elegant and professional. My tears fell, not out of sympathy, but out of respect for this exceptional family. You and this exceptional family have all my love and respect. Jamal is an Iraqi atheist

  8. I think their daughter will be a very responsible adult and will have a better chance at a fulfilling life because she will be more confident and appreciative of the things she has and those that matter!

  9. Wow, what an amazing family ! I believe that there are millions of parents who are not disabled but are unable to provide their children with love like this couple do. Beautiful and respectful family.
