Last year, the Financial Times and its statistal research partner announced the inaugural classification of the best companies to work in Asia-Pacific, after asking employees throughout the region for their views.

This year, we are once again asking employees in the Asia-Pacific region their second annual classification.

You will be asked to evaluate your own employer and any other company in the region if you have experience in them. All answers will remain in anonymity. Full -time employees already partial time can participate, and the survey will be open from April 25 to June 13.

In addition to gathering these responses from the survey, the FT and Statista will communicate with companies employees in eligible countries through online access panels, and will ask them to complete a questionnaire. These panels include workers from thousands of companies throughout the region who have already agreed to participate in an anonymous investigation (and therefore have not been selected or influenced by their employers, ensuring the independence of their answers).
Statista investigated potentially eligible companies earlier this year using numerous sources, including industry associations, commercial magazines and economic research institutes.
How will the classification of ‘Best Employers’ be compiled
According to the survey evaluations, each company will receive a score and the 500 largest score companies will be included in the final classification. This classification will be published in a special report with the Financial Times and FT.com newspaper, on December 4, 2025.
To be eligible for inclusion in the investigation of the best employers in Asia-Pacific, companies must:

have at least 1,000 employees throughout the region

have employees in one or more of the following 14 countries: Australia; Hong Kong; India; Indonesia; Japan; Macao; Malaysia; New Zealand; Philippines; Singapore; South Korea; Taiwan; Thailand; Vietnam
